The founder

Thirteen years on the roof, and counting.

Derek Okafor started Ridgeline in 2011 after eight years running crews for a larger national outfit. He was tired of watching estimators oversell and crews cut corners once the homeowner signed.

Today the company runs three permanent crews out of Oceanside, trains new installers through a two-year mentorship program, and keeps an in-house claims specialist on staff for insurance work.

Most single-family asphalt-shingle replacements finish in 2 to 3 days. Concrete or clay tile projects usually run 3 to 5 days. Metal standing-seam installs can take up to a week, depending on square footage and roof complexity.

Yes. We have an in-house claims specialist who photographs the damage, prepares a scope, and coordinates directly with your adjuster. You are still the policyholder and signer, but we handle the paperwork side so you are not fighting two battles at once.

We focus on North County San Diego: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, Encinitas, Escondido, and Fallbrook. For commercial bids we travel farther into central and south San Diego County on a case-by-case basis.

Residential replacements include a 10-year workmanship warranty from Ridgeline, plus the manufacturer warranty on the material itself (typically 30 to 50 years on qualifying systems). Commercial jobs vary by membrane type and will be spelled out in your written quote.

Often yes. Many leaks come from flashing, pipe boots, or a few failed shingles, not the field of the roof. Our inspection will tell you honestly whether a repair will hold for another five years or whether you are throwing money at an older roof that needs replacing.

Yes. California C-39 roofing contractor license, fully bonded, and carrying general liability plus workers’ compensation on every crew member on your roof. We will send you the license number and certificates of insurance before work begins.
